Hacker Menipu Dengan Situs Trinfeksi

SanFransisco - Sebuah perusahaan keamanan jaringan internet mengabarkan adanya sejumlah besar situs yang telah terinfeksi kode berbahaya.

Dilansir melalui Straits Times, Sabtu (2/4/2011), situs itu diinfeksi untuk dijadikan media untuk menipu pengguna internet. Jumlahnya diperkirakan cukup besar, terdiri dari ribuan situs.

Hebatnya, kebanyakan situs tersebut adalah situs yang sudah ternama dan para hacker memasukkan kode berbahaya untuk mengarahkan pengunjung ke sebuah alamat situs kamuflase.

"Di situs tersebut, pengguna ditakut-takuti dengan peringatan palsu bahwa PC yang mereka gunakan telah terinfeksi virus," demikian pernyataan perusahaan keamanan jaringan Websense.

Tipuan ini dirancang untuk menakuti pengguna internet agar mendownload dan menginstal perangkat lunak antivirus palsu. Proses ini dinamai dengan Scareware, dan situs tersebut digambarkan dengan nama Windows Security Center.

Target yang telah masuk ke dalam perangkap virus tersebut nantinya diharuskan untuk membayar sejumlah uang sebagai ganti proses instalasi software tersebut. Software itulah yang berisi virus berbahaya dan memungkinkan hacker untuk menjadikan PC korban sebagai alat penghasil uang yang menguntungkan hacker tersebut.
