As a leader of the 1.2 million Catholics in the world of course, the Pope did not want too miss the market. Her perfume was created by a perfume expert from Italy, Silvana Casoli who had previously been made perfume for the singer Sting, Madonna and the King of Spain Juan Carlos.

Casoli had thought to withdraw from the project because it is difficult to create a scent that suits your personality and the Pope's theological views.
"Then I realized that the essence of the fragrance it must have something pure and clean, considering the idea of peace," Casoli said as quoted by The Telegraph, Friday (16/03/2012).
