George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 according to the calendar we use today. But according to the old calendar time, the day of birth falls on February 11. He leads and gives the morale of soldiers who have not experienced, in the face of the British army for 8 years until the colonies they can gain independence. He served as president of the U.S. in 1789 - 1997 and familiarly known as the Father of the State. When he was alive, Americans celebrated his birthday in 1796 on the 11th, and most of them celebrate it on 12. Until 1971, dated February 22 is celebrated as National Public Holidays. In addition, the birthday of Abraham Lincoln (see Lincoln's birthday), president during the civil war years of 1861-1965, considered a public holiday in many American states. In 1971 President Richard Nixon announced that in honor of all former American presidents, the third Monday of February is celebrated as the day the President.
